In any type of recipe that you might be making, if you follow it, you can assume that everything will work out. That is, by using the right amounts of the indicated ingredients, by following the order of the steps given. However, there are always tips that can help us improve our form of doing things, no matter what. Today, I leave you here a list of 5 tips to help you make the perfect cake.

1 Make sure the ingredients are at room temperature.

By making sure that the ingredients are at room temperature, it will make it easier for you to combine them.

2 Mix the ingredients smartly.

Dry with dry and wet with wet. Alternate the adding through wet and dry layers, so the mixture gets fluffy and doesn’t crack in the end. Besides that, sugar with butter is always a good combination or you can beat egg whites and sugar until foamy so the cake gets even more fluffy.

3 Don’t over mix and don’t under mix.

You want all of the ingredients to be incorporated together perfectly. By over mixing the ingredients we will be removing the air from the mixture, which will result in a heavy and massive cake. When under mixing the ingredients they will end up not mixed well, which obviously won't work very well either.

4 Grease the pan well so that the cake comes out perfectly.

You can use butter, butter and flour or grease the pan with oil. You can also put in vegetal paper, but this way the cake will not come out with the perfect shape.

5 Always place the pan in the center of the oven.

Unless otherwise specified, place the pan in the center of the oven, so that the cake cooks perfectly. If you want to test if the cake is cooked enough, use the toothpick trick: you stick a toothpick in the area you want to make sure that is cooked and if it comes out clean it's because it is.

Above all, the important thing in the kitchen is to have fun and learn. How many times have I made a mistake, skipped steps due to distraction or even let the cake cook too much. And there's no harm!

And you? Do you have any tips for our cakes?
