First step is to knead the clay well so that it becomes more malleable.

Next step is to mold it until you create a cord with the thickness that you think is ideal for the knot you are going to create.

Then it's up to you to decide what knot you want to make and just intertwine the clay as if it were a thread.

At the end, with the help of water you can moisten your fingers and pass them on the clay to smooth it out and make it more uniform. If you want, you can use the same technique on the ends or even cut them to make them more beautiful.

Now it is time for it to dry, it might take more or less 48 hours. After that you decide if you want to paint your knot or leave it with the natural color of the clay. If you find it necessary now that the piece is dry, you can sand it so that the surface is even more perfect and smoother.
