40 small palmiers

About the Recipe

Never too much, one of my favorite ingredients in sweets is cinnamon. Besides that, I love it when the cookies have a sweet crunchy crust! Adding the useful to the pleasant I decided to try to make some palmiers that I could snack on throughout the day and that were in line with what I like so much.

Ingredients

1 packages of flaky pastry

1 egg

1/3 cup of tea of cinnamon

1 cup of tea of powdered sugar

1/2 cup of tea of sugar

Preparation

Step 1

First of all, so you don’t forget and save time, preheat the oven at 180ºC and put a layer of vegetal paper on the tray you are going to take to the oven.

Step 2

After that you can start preparing the flavor by mixing the powdered sugar with the cinnamon. I used one third of a cup of tea of cinnamon, but you can use more or less according to your liking.

Step 3

Now comes the part where you will need some patience. Start by rolling out the dough on the counter and spreading the sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly over the entire surface of the dough.

Step 4

Then, cut the dough into strips. You choose the width and length of the strips according to the size you want to give your palmiers.

Step 5

In the end, just roll them. You can roll it in one direction or both, according to the shape you want to give to your cookies. I rolled mine both ways to make them with palmier's shape and to look like little hearts.

Step 6

Last but not least, to get the sweet crunchy crust just mix an egg and spread it over the palmiers so so that the sugar that you will sprinkle on top of them will stick.

Step 7

Now put it in the tray in the oven for 30 minutes, when they start to turn golden they are ready! If you want, you can sprinkle them with a little more sugar.

Enjoy your Sweet Palmiers!

Stay tuned and try to create new flavors.
